A Difficult Lesson in Speaking Out

  I've managed to get myself banned from Twitter. Wonderful. As I continue trying to speak about practices in Japan that I believe deserve greater scrutiny, I've apparently said too much and received a permanent ban from Twitter. Unfortunate. Fortunately, I still have my blog for writing about how I feel. In retrospect, I don't really regret getting myself banned. Nor getting myself banned on Threads. Or even deleting my YouTube channel, which I had built over 20 years. Cost of learning, I suppose. In all honesty, the idea that I could potentially make a living from YouTube had me at a fork in the road. It's not that I was against the idea, but I couldn't come to grips with the way the world operated. Perhaps I was too idealistic about what it takes to earn a living doing these things. Maybe it was realizing how easily large platforms can be used for exploitation, including human trafficking and other forms of abuse. I digress. As I continue to record videos, edit, ...

Road of React - 1

 I guess this is the place to do it if anywhere. I am creating a little project to add to my portfolio to hone my skills in react. I've experienced that trying to teach someone is one of the best ways to really hammer down skills and knowledge that otherwise can easily be lost over time from lack of usage. As someone whose in-between gigs and someone who is extremely honest with themselves, I am fairly rusty and this will be a good chance to practice. Practice makes perfect and anyone who disagree never encountered struggles, which isn't possible so they're probably just cappin themselves.
