Work Blog 1

I got bored so I'm starting a blog entry at work.

The cold front passed and temperatures rose so I finally decided to commute to work. It was really nice being back in the saddle. Reminded me why I got a second bike again. Not a soul beats me off the line. It's great.

Recently been making this roll at work. I take the marinated chicken they use for the spring rolls and sauteed chicken and chop it up with some onion. Stir fry until browned, then mixed with green onion, kewpie mayo, sriracha and sesame seed. Rolled with sliced cucumbers, layered with sliced avocados, drizzled with unagi sauce and a sprinkle of sesame seed.

I got the idea off the caterpillar roll I see often at sushi places. Instead of unagi(which is expensive) I used the chicken. A great substitute for a rather expensive dish.

What would otherwise be a whole ordeal to make, is a simple 10 minute lunch at work.

Another reason to be thankful of my situation. Even in my work meals, I can still add my own spice to it.

the overflow area

the phone that never answers
(because the servers are too lazy to pick up the phone)

Nothing says fire exit like a wall of wooden boxes and empty porcelain bottles

Don't let the beautiful design fool you, that thing is constantly touching the food before it goes out.

The dumpster here goes on vacations every other week, gets replaced by a random one, comes back with a broken handle meanwhile the trash from all the restaurants pile up in front. If anything, the container staying off the ground has been better for the maintenance crew.

I took a couple pictures at work because I recently cut out all my social media habits and returned to basics. As such, I felt compelled to still perform some of the actions like picture taking and putting them somewhere so I have some place to vent.

I am currently winding down the night as I write this.

Honey Sriracha Wings, Flambéed with Eagle Rock

I've seen a jail have more variety in their meal

I'm still wondering how much I jacked up the stomach lining but surprisingly, beyond some discomfort, I haven't noticed anything that strange. I'm still cutting back on the spicy food for a few more days just in case. I think my insides could use a break considering the unknown impacts of eating such a massive portions of 2.5 million scolville hot sauce. I could totally be having internal bleeding. Unlikely, but that thought sticks with me.

as im eating honey sriracha wings

to be fair, sriracha is like ketchup. my upper boundary is beyond 2.5 million scoville, anything below is tolerable.
