Work Blog 1

I got bored so I'm starting a blog entry at work. The cold front passed and temperatures rose so I finally decided to commute to work. It was really nice being back in the saddle. Reminded me why I got a second bike again. Not a soul beats me off the line. It's great. Recently been making this roll at work. I take the marinated chicken they use for the spring rolls and sauteed chicken and chop it up with some onion. Stir fry until browned, then mixed with green onion, kewpie mayo, sriracha and sesame seed. Rolled with sliced cucumbers, layered with sliced avocados, drizzled with unagi sauce and a sprinkle of sesame seed. I got the idea off the caterpillar roll I see often at sushi places. Instead of unagi(which is expensive) I used the chicken. A great substitute for a rather expensive dish. What would otherwise be a whole ordeal to make, is a simple 10 minute lunch at work.  Another reason to be thankful of my situation. Even in my work meals, I can still add my own spice t...

One thing I find myself doing a lot is checking my own health markers. I try to stay on top of my own health, mainly due to a lack of health insurance, skepticism of doctors and my own curiosity regarding bodily health and function. To preface, I am a heavy user of cannabis. Specifically, extracts and oils. My main vice is THC-H, but also includes terpenes and other analogs of THC-9 which is deemed illegal beyond a certain threshold(Makes no sense because it's illogical) Cannabis, Marijuana, Ganja, Buddha, you name it, it's called many things. Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, Cannabis ruderalis[a] As an understudied medicine and plant(In terms of how it benefits people because big pharma are corrupt and morally bankrupt), I took it upon myself to measure my own usage and effects on me as an individual. Not systemically, but just playing it by ear and ball parking, because I can't be assed to do it formally. What I've noticed in my usage is my tolerance for anything has...

As of late, I've gotten back into the hobbies of CD's and CD players. The modern age of streaming and requiring a monthly fee has gotten me fed up with the software drain. I have quite the mp3/flac collection and my car still uses CD so I started burning cd's once again. I already listened to the same tracks since I was a kid, it only made sense. Thankfully, I still have access to some private trackers to fill in the gaps of my music collection. I still have several hundred gigabytes to burn to disc, so it's going to be a while before they're back to physical medium, but I already feel much lighter simplifying the basics again. Equipment: Hifiman Sundara Planar Headphones iLIVE Anti-Skip CD Player Eneloop Pro NiMH AA Batteries I considered using a DAC, but this is mainly for indoor use so it doesn't seem worth the hassle. Works very well.  It really takes me back to when I was in high school. I had a boombox, stereo system and cd player back in the day. Pride ...

In the last 2-3 years of my away with out leave on this blog, I've gotten into a new hobby of motorcycling. To cut a long story short, I essentially burned out of my white collar career which I had spent such a long time forging, health came under fire, and the resulting solution from attempting to salvage the little humanity I was left with after getting chewed up by the gears of society was motorcycling. Motorcycling has been something that's always fascinated me from a young age due to the influence from my mother. She was a "tourer" back in japan, taking her 400CC inline-4 Yamaha on mountain roads with a pack of likeminded riders. I grew up with pictures in the photo album, hearing her stories with a heavy dose of precaution and word of warning about the dangers. I honestly took them to heart. I never reached for it. I rode scooters, bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, you name it. Anything with wheels, I've probably taken a swing at it. However, the words ...
