As of late, I've gotten back into the hobbies of CD's and CD players. The modern age of streaming and requiring a monthly fee has gotten me fed up with the software drain. I have quite the mp3/flac collection and my car still uses CD so I started burning cd's once again. I already listened to the same tracks since I was a kid, it only made sense.

Thankfully, I still have access to some private trackers to fill in the gaps of my music collection. I still have several hundred gigabytes to burn to disc, so it's going to be a while before they're back to physical medium, but I already feel much lighter simplifying the basics again.

Equipment:

Hifiman Sundara Planar Headphones
iLIVE Anti-Skip CD Player
Eneloop Pro NiMH AA Batteries

I considered using a DAC, but this is mainly for indoor use so it doesn't seem worth the hassle. Works very well.

It really takes me back to when I was in high school. I had a boombox, stereo system and cd player back in the day. Pride and joy honestly. Should've never let it go to be honest. It's not like it ever goes bad.

Alas, you only learn some things over time.

To be perfectly honest, if I care enough to take a picture of it on a polaroid, it was probably worth keeping. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words. The stereo was worth infinite cd's and radio frequencies.

The only thing I still have in that picture now is the turtle, the gamecube and a few of the gamecube games.

At least I got a picture of it, lol.
