Road of Blog - 3
There is debate to be had how often a blog needs to updated. A regular update schedule can create habits and routine, something that people need for consistency, security, etc. People like repetition and find safety in it. The way I see it, it also acts as a limiting factor and stress factor. Like many things, it seems like a give and take having a routine.
Long winded way to say, I'll probably try to update at least once a week, but no more than every other day. Giving myself some leeway in punctuality is something seemingly comfortable for me.
I eventually plan on doing a Road of Music roads blog as well. I am currently 5 days out from a live performance at the restaurant I work at. To give a little backstory, music has been a hobby of mine since a young age. I've performed various instruments as well as sang in front of an audience many times. As much of a rockstar I make myself out to be, it really doesn't get any easier to stand in front of people and do something I enjoy. And far from being a rockstar, at best I am just a hobbyist who enjoys playing with a goal. Goal not being financial as like the blog, I don't expect to make money from it. I just do it because it's fun and challenging. There's really no end game when it comes to music, you just do it and try to improve what you can.
The performance group includes 2 other people, decided pretty much a week out at last minute. I have some severe issues with motivation and procrastination as I had several months to prepare, yet it isn't until the last week I kick it into high gear. Traditions, I suppose. All the bands I've participated with, it's pretty much only a week or two out we actually get together to practice. We're all adults here, so it comes together at the end, but I can't say it's a smooth process, rather a frantic effort to do the best given the time constraint. I tend to have a lot more leeway with time than others, so I have no excuses, but others? Yes, for sure which just makes me lazy.
The blog posts this week will probably include more comments about the lead up to it, as the Road of Music I plan to do will focus more on the journey of my music rather than specific events. Besides, this event is a one-off, so chances are I won't be making any additional posts regarding music events I do. This is the first performance ever since covid hit. Pretty excited and nervous at the same time, but whatcanyado? It's been a while I had motivation to do anything and I hate/love it.
Sneak peak into other roads I have planned currently:
Road of Music
Road of Bowling
Road of Programming
I'm considering a few others, but my current obsessions will supersede them for now. I'm a very wishy-washy, indecisive person so it's all tentative at this time. But now that I wrote these into existence, I plan on doing it eventually.
I am rather confused why my posts have 2 digits views. I'd wager it's mostly just scraper bots on the web. Scraper bots go around visiting every website they can and scraping data/info from them, usually something financially motivated like everything. The obsession with financial incentives is something I still feel very uncomfortable with. It's the result of being in a world where the current meta is capitalism. Not gonna lie, I do prefer it over the other metas we've seen in the known human history. We humans date back over 100,000 years, what we know about ourselves and our predecessor is a speck of the real story.
I digress as I have a bad tendency of going on rants. Perhaps a blog is suited for someone like me who likes to randomly go on rants that I won't remember. Perhaps not, perhaps this is just rambling trying to close this out.
